Prior to founding Azurite, Eli was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, working out of their Sydney, San Francisco and Munich offices. There he devoted his time to Strategy, Operations and Sustainability studies, focusing on Heavy Industry, Manufacturing and Mining. He was a firm Sustainability fellow and served a global set of clients.
Eli previously worked in at Oliver Wyman as an Associate with a focus on aviation, tourism & leisure clients while also serving a range of heavy industrial client including railroads and oil & gas. Eli’s focus while at Oliver Wyman was on front-office and back-office operations.
He holds a Master of Engineering Management from Tuck / Thayer School of Engineering, a Bachelor’s of Environmental Engineering from Thayer and a BA degree in both Environmental Engineering and Environmental Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College.
He is a private pilot, avid backcountry snowboarder and two-time Outward Bound Graduate.
Prior to joining Azurite Consulting, Michael was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, working out of their Sydney, New York and London offices. There he devoted his time to Global M&A Transactions, focusing on post-deal merger management with a strong passion for B2B and Industrial sector work.
Michael previously worked in the Group Strategy team at Qantas Airways – Australia’s flagship airline. There he led multiple teams in redefining the domestic strategy – stretching from long term network optimization and fleet management, through to embedding the first Group-wide customer strategy.
He holds an M.B.A from INSEAD as well as a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UNSW, where he specialized in Manufacturing and Management and earned an Honors degree with his thesis, applying machine learning to preventative maintenance on a medical production line.
He enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding and cooking in his free time.
